A South African court ruled on Feb. 5, that African National Congress (ANC) president Jacob Zuma would stand trial on charges of corruption, fraud, money-laundering, and racketeering on Aug. 25. The controversial case against Zuma had been a major factor in the formation of a new political party as a splinter group from the ANC.
